You've probably heard of the Cars franchise, and there's also a good chance you have seen at least one of their three movies. This franchise has expanded greatly over the years as it began to encompass video games, sought after merchandise lines, and other short films. It also inspired a love for cars in the young people who watched theses movies as children. Several cars in these movies were based off or inspired by actual real-life cars. Some of the cars, like Lightning McQueen for example, were entirely made up vehicles that were a new creation all its own.
Keep reading to learn about ten real-life cars that made an appearance in Disney's Cars movies. Darrell Cartrip made an appearance in all three Cars movies, but what you might not have known was that he was based off a Chevy Monte Carlo. They gave this car an upgrade by giving him a flame design, but if you had transformed it to a simple red, it would be immediately recognizable.
It might look a little different than your standard Monte Carlo, but that is due to the fact that Cartrip was used as a racing car before he took up announcing. His speeches are as fun as this car is to drive, and it is an ode to the commentator who raced this vehicle back in Tow Mater isn't a simple being though because he also takes some design aspects from a Chevrolet and a Dodge truck.
Mater has rusted just like any old Harvester truck, and you can see the aspects they took from this prominent vehicle. He might be missing his hood, but that doesn't mean we failed to see the similarities in the wheels and truck bed design.
In A Hurry. Not in Radiator Springs Anymore. Crazy Old Lizzy. Cars More Info. Suggested Cars. Lightning McQueen. Ramone runs the Ramone's House of Body Art , Ramone is shown to be a true artist and he changes his paint job every single day. Ramone is married to Flo , a showcar whom runs Flo's V8 Cafe next door.
At the end of the movie, Ramone was seen to be at the race track to cheer on Lightning McQueen who he gave a fresh paint job to match his the day before the race right before his abrupt removal. Ramone is also an artist and a true magician with paint and metal. There was a time when his only canvas was himself, because he would spruce himself up by repainting himself daily.
Since Lightning McQueen helped put Radiator Springs back on the map, Ramone has had his share of customers by including the star race car himself. Ramone is a fan - a BIG fan. I love Ramone although we only have a couple in our collection. My fav is the new cars 2 radiator spring Ramone, Love the colours on it. I spent a lot of time taking photos and working on the article last night and forgot to mention which Ramone is my favorite Of the 2 released Ramones, I'd go with Chase Radiator Springs Ramone for now, even though it's a tampo and not painted When the other ones we've seen photos of come out, I'd definitely say the Union Jack Ramone.
Great arcicle as always Chris. I have yet to get the Retro Ramone. Green Ramone was our first Ramone that we had on a Supercharged card. Then we got lenty purple and yellow followed by the color change one. Lightning Ramone was the last lenty version we got of him before we got the Chase Hydraulic Ramone with Metallic Finish. That was when BobbyJack began to like the fixed eye cars better. I was able to make trades for Ghostlight and Old School Ramone. Maybe someday. Another Great article!
Bumper Save. Union Jack Ramone from Mattel has been seen backdoor! Great article Chris! Ramone has always been one of my favorite Cars I present Does anybody know if Metallic Hydraulic Ramone and normal Hydraulic Ramone are the same or different?
Besides the bumped-out eyebrows, they look pretty much the same to me. Originally posted by Fillmore View Post.
