Kelly introduced the world to Big Man, the midget that popped out of a kitchen cupboard back in Chapter 9? Also not appearing in the new stories? Or Bridget, or James for that matter. Instead, there was a lot of screen time given to characters like Pimp Lucius. We learned a lot about Lucius one of the characters played by Kelly , like that ever since he pretended to change his ways in church in chapter 19, God sometimes talks to him. Or is He? He was not heard from again after that little incident.
We also learned that Lucius is actually the son of Rosie the nosy neighbor and Randolph, the surprisingly-horny-for-anyear-old church janitor.
Now the pair work in a diner and date, and one time Kellz-As-Sylvester pulled a gun on them for no reason while Kellz-As-Narrator watched. Pimp Lucius Yet another R. Kelly joint. Pimp Lucius functions mostly as an entertaining side plot meant to ramp up tension while Rufus finds out that Chuck has some sort of terrible disease.
Pimp Lucius comes to church one day and the reverend also played by R. Kelly because don't worry about it decides that he should be saved from his sins. Pimp Lucius doesn't really want to be saved, however, so only he pretends to accept Jesus into his life. He has a stuttering problem. I'm mainly including him in here because I hope against hope that even though he seemed pretty peripheral, R. Kelly decided to bring Pimp Lucius back for another round of p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-pimpin'.
Joey The Mobster Hey, you know how some Italian people feel kind of conflicted about The Godfather because while it's a great film it also kind of perpetuates the stereotype that Italians are mobsters? Well, Joey is an Italian mobster who likes to eat spaghetti.
Sylvester goes to visit him because his father knew Joey and this means that Joey now owes him. They then make a deal. Nobody knows that the deal entails exactly but in a dream Twan--who was there waiting in the other room--gets a vision that it's going to be some sort of thing that Joey The Mobster can do to get himself enough money to buy a spaghetti factory. I don't really care if Joey The Mobster returns, but since he and Sylvester have that secret deal it seems like he probably will.
The Package This is what ties the whole thing together. So, naturally, he hides in the closet while Rufus and Chuck talk about "The Package" and then Rufus overhears Chuck reveal that he's really sick and in the hospital.
Randolph then tells this information Rosie who in turn tells the entire fucking world about it never even give Rosie your recipe for sweet potato pie if you don't want that shit getting out, seriously , which then sets everything up for the next season of TITC. It might have something to do with whatever deal Joey The Mobster made with Sylvester, or it might have something to do with Tina and Roxanne, because they tend to get relatively high amount of mentions in the series despite not having much screen time.
Or it could be a box of more wigs for Cathy to wear. Nobody knows. Honestly, I kind of doubt The Package is just AIDS, because Kelly is more creative than that and also such a Package would kill off a large chunk of the principle cast.
The chart at the top of this article is something I borrowed from Wikipedia that speculates on which TITC might be infected if The Package were a sexually transmitted disease of any sort. No matter what The Package ends up being, it's comforting to know that it's probably just a MacGuffin so that R. Kelly can keep cranking out more volumes of this hilarious, wonderful series. Kelly hasn't really tried to meaningfully resolve any part of the story; he's still widening the scope, thickening already existing plots as well as introducing new ones.
Trapped In The Closet might never die, and that thought makes me aggressively happy. It's been reported that Kellz has 85 more episodes in the works, which warms our hearts to no end. Twan asks Sylvester for his gun and is given where he points his gun to everyone whom is distracted by what was just said. Sylvester goes on somewhere and tells Twan not to act up as he was just sent to prison and Twan blames it on Tina and Roxanne and they go to a coffee shop and Twan stays behind while Sylvester goen in to get money from someone who owes him.
Twan gets a call from Joe and tells him Tina works in the coffee shop they are at and threatens to kill them as Tina and Roxanne are about to assault Sylvester. Twan insults the women and nearly gets into a fight with Roxanne Sylvester tells Twan he'll take care of it and tells the women what really happened so they can resolve the issue. The women reveal that Twan hired them to go on vacation but he starts smoking weed and the police take notice.
Twan tries to get away but his car breaks down and the three are arrested. Twan assigns blame to them but Roxanne gives him up and Twan is arrested for drug possession resisting arrest and lying to the police.
It turns out Tina protected him because she was pregnant. Sylvester congratulates Twan on being a father but doesn't believe Tina and the women threaten to sue him for child support.
Sylvester tries to calm them down and asks why Tina's eye flinches so much. Tina was punched by a pimp and Twan feels sympathetic and wonders if he really is her bay's father. Sylvester tells him that he knows Twan's been thinking about making a change and convinces him to go "holla" at her but when he does a jealous Roxanne kisses Tina suggestively saying"I'm fucking her now".
Sylvester points his gun on the women with Twan encouraging to shoot them but doesn't saying he "likes that kind of shit" and leaves. Twan threatens to buy a gun to kill the women and is about beat Roxanne but Sylvester tells him to "bring his ass" and takes his jacket and leaves. While Sylvester is driving Twan is angry and Sylvester tries to calm him down but doesn't.
Sylvester gets called by Gwendolyn and tells him his dad was arrested and Sylvester jokes with Twan and her and tell her he'll hurry back. Sylvester tells Twan that he is going to meet someone and that Twan needs to keep his cool otherwise "their ass is grass" and emphasizes that Twan stays seated.
When they meet the man Joey accuses Twan of being a cop and insults him and Joey tells his men to throw them out. Sylvester tells Twan to wait outside and he falls asleep. Twan has a nightmare here he armwrestles a goon takes his gun and Sylvester tries to rob Joey but his men gang up on him with guns.
